The roof is finally finished so it shouldn’t be long until the scaffolding is gone. I have put up some guttering as it is a lot easier to put up from a scaffold tower than dangling off a ladder!?á Peter and Josh have also assembled the stairs – we just need to make a platform for a landing half way up…….

There are quite a few nests at the site – the tits are nesting in the wall and by the gate and swallows have nested in the barn and cottage.

Because the stone work does not give a straight edge along where the slate trim joins we need to have a thin strip of render. It doesn’t look as good but should seal the roof to the stone.
